The Open Radar Data Acquisition (ORDA)
subsystem replaces the current WSR-88D Radar
Data Acquisition subsystem with improved
receiver and signal processing hardware and with
improved user interface, signal processing and
diagnostics software. This paper will discuss the
input data from the digital receiver, the ORDA
signal processing, and the data output from the
ORDA hardware. Specifications of the ORDA
digital receiver will be presented. The paper
outlines the critical radar signal processing flow
and provides analysis of new spectrum width
computations and clutter filtering schemes used in
the ORDA system. Where appropriate, ORDA
performance enhancements, data quality
improvements and reliability and maintenance
improvements will be highlighted.
This
paper presents a new adaptive mobility-aware MAC protocol
for sensor networks (MS-MAC). The protocol uses any change
in received signal level as an indication of mobility and, when
necessary, triggers the mobility handling mechanism. By doing
this way, the new mobility-aware MAC protocol can work very
energy-efficiently when the network is stationary, whereas it can
maintain some level of network performance when there are
mobile sensors.
SiftGPU is an implementation of SIFT [1] for GPU. SiftGPU processes pixels parallely to build Gaussian pyramids and detect DoG Keypoints. Based on GPU list generation, SiftGPU then uses a GPU/CPU mixed method to efficiently build compact keypoint lists. Finally keypoints are processed parallely to get their orientations and descriptors.

Our experiments indicate that adaptive noise control results in a dramatic improvement in performance over fixed noise control. This improvement is due to the availability of high-performance programmable DSPs and the self-optimizing and tracking
capabilities of the adaptive controller in response to the surrounding noise.

The TJA1040 is an advanced high speed CAN transceiver for use in
