ATViewer is a component for Delphi/C++Builder, which allows to view files of various types. There is no edit possibility, just quick view - so it s useful to implement "View file" feature in your Delphi/C++Builder application. The following view modes are implemented: Text, Binary, Hex, Unicode: all files, of unlimited size. Plain file dump is shown. Used ATBinHex component: only visible part of file is loaded into memory. This paper presents a low-power asynchronous implementation of the 80C51 microcontroller. It was realized in a 0.5 µ m CMOS process and it shows a power advantage of a factor 4 compared to a recent synchronous implementation in the same technology. The chip is fully bit compatible with the synchronous implementation, and timing compatible for external memory access. The circuit is a compiled VLSI-program, using Tangram as VLSI-programming language and the Tangram tool set to compile the design automatically to a standard-cell netlist. This design approach proves to be powerful enough to describe the microcontroller and derive an efficient implementation. Further, it offers the designer the possibility to explore various alternatives in the design space.

After the successful global introduction during the past decade of the second generation (2G) digital mobile communications systems, it seems that the third generation (3G) Universal Mobile Communication System (UMTS) has finally taken off, at least in some regions. The plethora of new services that are expected to be offered by this system requires the development of new paradigms in the way scarce radio resources should be managed. The Quality of Service (QoS) concept, which introduces in a natural way the service differentiation and the possibility of adapting the resource consumption to the specific service requirements, will open the door for the provision of advanced wireless services to the mass market.

A wireless communication network can be viewed as a collection of nodes, located in some domain, which can in turn be transmitters or receivers (depending on the network considered, nodes may be mobile users, base stations in a cellular network, access points of a WiFi mesh etc.). At a given time, several nodes transmit simultaneously, each toward its own receiver. Each transmitter–receiver pair requires its own wireless link. The signal received from the link transmitter may be jammed by the signals received from the other transmitters. Even in the simplest model where the signal power radiated from a point decays in an isotropic way with Euclidean distance, the geometry of the locations of the nodes plays a key role since it determines the signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR) at each receiver and hence the possibility of establishing simultaneously this collection of links at a given bit rate. The interference seen by a receiver is the sum of the signal powers received from all transmitters, except its own transmitter.
