Need to play Windows Media files and streams, mpeg4 video or DVDs in java? Access WDM capture devices? Control a firewire DVCam? Then maybe this can help you. dsj is an ongoing project to provide a java wrapper around Microsoft s DirectShow API. It offers a set of high level classes that give java easy access to functionality widely missed by java programmers and also lets you dive deeper into the interiors of Windows core api for 2D media. On the java side dsj tries to keep things open as possible - you may use it standalone or let it feed data into JMF or other APIs.
THIS is really two books in one: a tutorial and a reference manual for JDBC, the application programming interface that makes it possible for programmers to access databases from Java. The goal is to be useful to a wide range of readers, from database novices to database experts. Therefore, we have arranged the book so that information needed only by experts is separated out from the basic material. We hope that driver developers as well as application programmers and MIS administrators will find what they need. Because different sections are aimed at different audiences, we expect that few people will read every page. We have sometimes duplicated explanations in an effort to make reading easier for those who do not read all sections.
This book will be most helpful to those who have some knowledge of the Java programming language and SQL (Structured Query Language), but one doesn t need to be an expert in either to understand the basic concepts presented here.

OpenCV means Intel® Open Source Computer Vision Library. It is a collection of C functions and a few C++ classes that implement some popular Image Processing and Computer Vision algorithms.
OpenCV has cross-platform middle-to-high level API that consists of a few hundreds (>300) C functions. It does not rely on external libraries, though it can use some when it is possible.
OpenCV is free for both non-commercial and commercial use (see the license for details).
OpenCV provides transparent interface to Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives (IPP). That is, it loads automatically IPP libraries optimized for specific processor at runtime, if they are available. The LM158 series consists of two independent, high gain,

This article shows that by using the tools available and understanding the programming system, it is possible to improve programming productivity. Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) and other tools let the user build GUIs while working in the same development program that was used to write the rest of the test code. MFC comes bundled with Microsoft Visual C++ and other development systems such as Watcom C/C++ and Borland Inprise C++ Builder.
This tutorial attempts to get you started developing with the Win32 API as quickly and clearly as possible. It is meant to be read as a whole, so please read it from beginning to end before asking questions... most of them will probably be answered. Each section builds on the sections before it. I have also added some solutions to common errors in Appendix A. If you ask me a question that is answered on this page, you will look very silly.

This Toolbox provides a number of functions that are useful in computer vision,
machine vision and related areas. It is a somewhat eclectic collection reflecting
the author s personal interest in areas of photometry, photogrammetry, colorimetry. It
covers functions such as image file reading and writing, filtering, segmentation,
feature extraction, camera calibration, camera exterior orientation, display,
color space conversion and blackbody radiators. The Toolbox, combined
with MATLAB and a modern workstation computer, is a useful and convenient
environment for investigation of machine vision algorithms. It is possible to use
MEX files to interface with image acquisition hardware ranging from simple
framegrabbers to Datacube servers.
