Abstract: The DS1875 features a pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller that can be used to control aDC-DC converter. The DC-DC converter can then be used to generate the high bias voltages necessaryfor avalanche photodiodes (APDs). This application note describes the operation of a boost converterthat uses the DS1875. Discussion covers the selection of the inductor and switching frequency, and theselection of components that improve the efficiency of the converter. Test data are presented.
Low power standby requirements are typically associatedwith battery-powered systems. Automotive systems,for example, commonly require power supplies tomaintain output voltage regulation even under no-loadconditions—while drawing minimal quiescent current topreserve battery life. Rising energy costs, however, haveextended the need for low current standby operation toline-powered systems, such as small plugged-in appliancesfor home and business.
Automotive batteries, industrial power supplies, distributedsupplies and wall transformers are all sources ofwide-ranging high voltage inputs. The easiest way to stepdown these sources is with a high voltage monolithicstep-down regulator that can directly accept a wide inputrange and produce a well-regulated output. The LT®3493accepts inputs from 3.6V to 36V and LT3481 acceptsinputs from 3.6V to 34V. Both provide excellent lineand load regulation and dynamic response. The LT3481offers a high effi ciency solution over a wide load range andkeeps the output ripple low during Burst Mode® operationwhile the LT3493 provides a tiny solution with minimalexternal components. The LT3493 operates at 750kHzand the LT3481 has adjustable frequency from 300kHzto 2.8MHz. High frequency operation enables the use ofsmall, low cost inductors and ceramic capacitors.
The LTC®3562 quad output step-down regulator is designedfor multicore handheld microprocessor applications thatoperate from a single Li-Ion battery. Its four monolithic, higheffi ciency buck regulators support Intel’s mobile CPU P-Stateand C-State energy saving operating modes. In predominantly digital systems it is often necessaryto include linear circuit functions. Traditionally, separatepower supplies have been used to run the linear components(see Box, “Linear Power Supplies—Past, Present,and Future”).
為了提高PCB板制作的效率，改變傳統的化學腐蝕制板工藝，使用機械仿形銑制作電路板的方法，設計了以ATMEGA16單片機為核心部件的PCB板雕刻機控制系統。其中包括PCB雕刻機的基本功能、主要硬件電路設計和軟件的實現流程，并給出了相關設計電路。重點分析了雕刻機步進電機的驅動電路以及主軸電機的驅動電路，該雕刻機經實際運行，系統工作良好，可有效提高PCB板的制作效率。

In order to improve the efficiency of production of PCB board and change the traditional chemical etching plates， using of mechanical copying milling method makes circuit boards，this paper introduces the PCB engraving machine control system used ATMEGA16 microcomputer as the core components. It includes basic function， the hardware circuit design and software realization process， and gives the corresponding circuit design.It analyses the drive circuit of engrawing machine stepper motor and spindle motor in detail. This engraving machine by practical operation， the system works well， which can effectively improve the production efficiency of PCB board.
為解決當前計算機串行通訊接口只有USB，難以滿足舊型號設備或某些單片機要求RS232通訊的問題，設計出兩款RS232/USB電路。采用CH341A與MAX223集成電路芯片構建標準9線RS232/USB通用接口轉換器，無需編程。采用CH341A與PIC16F877A構建單片機與計算機之間的USB通訊電路，軟件遵循RS232通訊協議，硬件進行電平轉換。實際使用表明，這兩款產品與計算機端Windows 操作系統下的串口應用程序完全兼容，且通訊過程中無握手失敗現象。
Abstract: To solve the problem that current computer serial communication only with USB interface can not satisfy with the old type equipments or MCU to communicate with RS232， two kinds of RS232/USB circuit were designed.CH341A and MAX223 integrated circuit chips were used to create a standard 9-line RS232/USB universal interface convertor without programme. CH341A and PIC16F877A chips were adopted to build the USB communication circuit between computers and MCU. The software follows RS232 communication protocol， and the hardware converts electrical levels. Actual practices indicate that the two manufactures are compatible with serial application program of Windows operation system completely，and get avoid of handshake lost.
實時時鐘是微機保護裝置的重要部件，在討論PCF8583結構與功能的基礎上，提出采用dsPIC33F系列微處理器與串行I2C時鐘PCF8583的接口設計方案，給出了相應的接口電路與軟件流程。該設計方案結構簡單，可靠性高，開發周期短，具有一定的實用與參考價值。所設計的微機保護裝置已投入現場運行，效果良好。
Abstract:
Real-time clock chip is an important part in microcomputer protection device.Based on discussing the structure and function of PCF8583，a new interface scheme which uses dsPIC33F microprocessor and serial clock chip（I2C）PCF8583is proposed.The method of the circuit design and the main software flow are introduced in this paper.The scheme has simple structure，higher reliability and shorter exploitation cycle，so has definite practicality or reference value.The microcomputer protection device has been put into operation with better effects.
