A circuit breaker allows energizing and de-energizing of the line. To simplify matters, only one of the three phases is represented. C Algorithms for Real-Time DSP
Chapter 3 introduces the basic real-time DSP programming techniques and Typical programming environments which are used with DSP microprocessors.
A programmable digital signal processor (PDSP) is a special-purpose microprocessor
with specialized architecture and instruction set for implementing DSP
algorithms. Typical architectural features include multiple memory partitions (onchip,
off-chip, data memory, program memory, etc.), multiple (generally pipelined)
arithmetic and logic units (ALUs), nonuniform register sets, and extensive
hardware numeric support [1,2]. Single-chip PDSPs have become increasingly
popular for real-time DSP applications [3,4].
Parallel robotic manipulators can be considered a well-established option
for many different applications of manipulation, machining, guiding,
testing, control, tracking, haptic force feed-back, etc. A Typical parallel robotic
manipulator (PM) consists of a mobile platform connected to the
base (fixed platform) by at least two kinematic chains called limbs. The
mobile platform can achieve between one and three independent translations
(T) and one to three independent rotations (R).
The goal of this thesis is the development of traffic engineering rules for cellular packet
radio networks based on GPRS and EDGE. They are based on traffic models for Typical
mobile applications. Load generators, representing these traffic models, are developed
and integrated into a simulation environment with the protoTypical implementation of
the EGPRS protocols and models for the radio channel, which were also developed in
the framework of this thesis. With this simulation tool a comprehensive performance
evaluation is carried out that leads to the traffic engineering rules.
DESCRIPTION
The Texas Instruments MSP430 family of ultra-low-power microcontrollers consists of several devices featuring
different sets of peripherals targeted for various applications. The architecture, combined with five low-power
modes, is optimized to achieve extended battery life in portable measurement applications. The device features a
powerful 16-bit RISC CPU, 16-bit registers, and constant generators that contribute to maximum code efficiency.
The digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) allows wake-up from low-power modes to active mode in less than 1 μs.
The MSP430G2x13 and MSP430G2x53 series are ultra-low-power mixed signal microcontrollers with built-in 16-
bit timers, up to 24 I/O capacitive-touch enabled pins, a versatile analog comparator, and built-in communication
capability using the universal serial communication interface. In addition the MSP430G2x53 family members
have a 10-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter. For configuration details see Table 1.
Typical applications include low-cost sensor systems that capture analog signals, convert them to digital values,
and then process the data for display or for transmission to a host system.
The SP2526A device is a dual +3.0V to +5.5V USB Supervisory Power Control Switch ideal
for self-powered and bus-powered Universal Serial Bus (USB) applications. Each switch has
low on-resistance (110mΩ Typical) and can supply 500mA minimum. The fault currents are
limited to 1.0A Typical and the flag output pin for each switch is available to indicate fault
conditions to the USB controller. The thermal shutdown feature will prevent damage to the
device when subjected to excessive current loads. The undervoltage lockout feature will
ensure that the device will remain off unless there is a valid input voltage present.
Cooperation is not a natural characteristic attributed to humans. The Typical human horizon is focused
on short-term gains, which might be due to our instinct-driven subconscious occupying a grander
importance than we dare to admit [1]. Cooperating with other individuals or entities, however, usually
means that short-term losses may translate into long-term gains – something history has proved to
hold true but humans for some reason rarely ever understand.
