A new type of cloak is discussed: one that gives all cloaked objects the appearance of a flat conducting sheet. It has the advantage that none of the parameters of the cloak is singular and can in fact be made isotropic. It makes broadband cloaking in the optical frequencies one step closer.

A digital filter structure for wideband filtering is proposed. It consists of two allpass filters and a linearphase FIR filter. One major advantage of this structure is that the allpass filters are functions of zM which implies that the maximal sample frequency is M times higher for this structure than for the corresponding conventional structures.

Many wireless communications channels consist of multiple signal paths from the transmitter to receiver. This multiplicity of paths leads to a phenomenon known as multipath fading. The multiple paths are caused by the presence of objects in the physical environment that, through the mechanisms of propagation, alter the path of radiated energy. These objects are referred to as scatterers. In the past, researchers often looked at ways to mitigate multipath scattering, such as in diversity systems. Multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) systems, on the other hand, use multipath diversity to their advantage; a MIMO system has the ability to translate increased spatial diversity into increased channel capacity.

The mature CMOS fabrication processes are available in many IC foundries. It is cost-effective to leverage the existing CMOS fabrication technologies to implement MEMS devices. On the other hand, the MEMS devices could also add values to the IC industry as the Moore’s law reaching its limit. The experiment we set up takes advantage of all microcontroller peripherals. Students can do two kinds of experiments： module experiment and complex experiment.Therefore it fits university students in automation and electrical major very well.
