Writing Your First ASP Application ( Quick Start )
There are many tutorials out there that show you how to program in ASP. Some of them are good, and some are bad. Some of them are downright terrible. In any case, you ve read a bit about ASP and now you are ready to build your first application. But where do you start?
In my own experience, I have found that I find it easier to learn something if I actually work with it hands-on. Just reading a book or documentation doesn’t give you the practical knowledge you need to be able to rush off and start creating applications.
In this article, I will discuss the creation of a very simple application. I will cover what the application will do, how we will approach writing it, demonstrate in code how we will do it, and discuss additional features that could be added to it. Software Testing, Second Edition provides practical insight into the world of software testing and quality assurance. Learn how to find problems in any computer program, how to plan an effective test approach and how to tell when software is ready for release. Updated from the previous edition in 2000 to include a chapter that specifically deals with testing software for security bugs, the processes and techniques used throughout the book are timeless. This book is an excellent investment if you want to better understand what your Software Test team does or you want to write better software.
We address the problem of blind carrier frequency-offset (CFO) estimation in quadrature amplitude modulation,
phase-shift keying, and pulse amplitude modulation
communications systems. We study the performance of a standard
CFO estimate, which consists of first raising the received signal to
the Mth power, where M is an integer depending on the type and
size of the symbol constellation, and then applying the nonlinear
least squares (NLLS) estimation approach. At low signal-to noise
ratio (SNR), the NLLS method fails to provide an accurate CFO
estimate because of the presence of outliers. In this letter, we derive
an approximate closed-form expression for the outlier probability.
This enables us to predict the mean-square error (MSE) on CFO
estimation for all SNR values. For a given SNR, the new results
also give insight into the minimum number of samples required in
the CFO estimation procedure, in order to ensure that the MSE
on estimation is not significantly affected by the outliers.
Aiming at the application of passive trackinn based on sensor array, a new passive trackinn usinn sensor array
based on particle filter was proposed. Firstly, the“fake points" could be almost entirely and exactly deleted with the aids of the
sensor array at the expense of an additional sensor. Secondly, considered the fact that the measurements notten from each array
were independent in passive trackinn system, a novel sequential particle filter usinn sensor array with improved distribution was proposed. At last, in a simulation study we compared this approach a壇orithm with traditional trackinn methods. The simulation re-sups show that the proposed method can nreatly improve the state estimation precision of sensor array passive trackinn system.
Computes BER v EbNo curve for convolutional encoding / soft decision
Viterbi decoding scheme assuming BPSK.
Brute force Monte Carlo approach is unsatisfactory (takes too long)
to find the BER curve.
The computation uses a quasi-analytic (QA) technique that relies on the
estimation (approximate one) of the information-bits Weight Enumerating
Function (WEF) using
A simulation of the convolutional encoder. Once the WEF is estimated, the analytic formula for the BER is used.
Threads are essential to Java programming, but learning to use them effectively is a nontrivial task. This new edition of the classic Java Threads shows you how to take full advantage of Java s threading facilities and brings you up-to-date with the watershed changes in Java 2 Standard Edition version 5.0 (J2SE 5.0). It provides a thorough, step-by-step approach to threads programming.
In just 24 lessons of one hour or less, you will be able to build dynamic Web sites using JavaServer Pages. Using a straightforward, step-by-step approach, each lesson builds on the previous ones, enabling you to learn the essentials of JavaServer Pages 2.0 from the ground up. The book includes Apache Tomcat, Sun s reference implementation of JSP, so you can start developing applications immediately.
