Pre-designed and pre-verified hardware and software blocks can be combined on
chips for many different applicationsVthey promise large productivity gains.
This paper presents several low-latency mixed-timing
FIFO (first-in–first-out) interfaces designs that interface systems
on a chip working at different speeds. The connected systems
can be either synchronous or asynchronous. The designs are then
adapted to work between systems with very long interconnect
delays, by migrating a single-clock solution by Carloni et al.
(1999, 2000, and 2001) (for “latency-insensitive” protocols) to
mixed-timing domains. The new designs can be made arbitrarily
robust with regard to metastability and interface operating speeds.
Initial simulations for both latency and throughput are promising.
megahal is the conversation simulators conversing with a user in natural language. The program will exploit the fact that human beings tend to read much more meaning into what is said than is actually there
MegaHAL differs from conversation simulators such as ELIZA in that it uses
a Markov Model to learn how to hold a conversation. It is possible to
teach MegaHAL to talk about new topics, and in different languages.
Do your applications look a little boring? Would you like to get spectacular yet easy to use visual effects? Billenium Effects will give your applications a different touch without interfering with your existing code. For example, just by dropping two components to your Splash Screen or About form they will be shown with a professional transition effect that will delight your customers. First impressions count!
LinCAN is a Linux kernel module that implements a CAN driver capable of working with multiple cards, even with different chips and IO methods. Each communication object can be accessed from multiple applications concurrently.
It supports RT-Linux, 2.2, 2.4, and 2.6 with fully implemented select, poll, fasync, O_NONBLOCK, and O_SYNC semantics and multithreaded read/write capabilities. It works with the common Intel i82527, Philips 82c200, and Philips SJA1000 (in standard and PeliCAN mode) CAN controllers.
LinCAN project is part of a set of CAN/CANopen related components developed as part of OCERA framework.
penMesh is a generic and efficient data structure for representing and manipulating polygonal meshes. OpenMesh is developed at the Computer Graphics Group, RWTH Aachen , as part of the OpenSGPlus project, is funded by the German Ministry for Research and Education ( BMBF), and will serve as geometry kernel upon which the so-called high level primitives (e.g. subdivision surfaces or progressive meshes) of OpenSGPlus are built.
It was designed with the following goals in mind :
Flexibility : provide a basis for many different algorithms without the need for adaptation.
Efficiency : maximize time efficiency while keeping memory usage as low as possible.
Ease of use : wrap complex internal structure in an easy-to-use interface.
there are some other approaches, such as Schedule Network Templates, dependency Determination, and Applying Leads and Lags. They are also use with PDM and ADM together for sequencing activities. Based on the different size or type of project, the managers should choose suitable approaches.

W3Eval is Java applet that evaluates mathematical expressions. It uses different approach from conventional calculator, which is more natural to the way people calculate.

Beginning with an overview of SQL Server 2000, this book discusses online transaction processing (OLTP) and online analytical processing (OLAP), features a tour of different SQL Server releases, and offers a guide to installation. The author describes and demonstrates the changes since SQL Server 7.0, thoroughly exploring SQL Server 2000 s capacity as a Web-enabled database server. Readers are then immersed in advanced database administration topics such as performance optimization and debugging techniques.
