In this edition, the majority of the book is dedicated to covering the Winsock API. Chapter 1 starts with an introduction to Winsock and is specifically geared for the beginning Winsock programmer. This chapter covers all the basics and introduces Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP) through simple samples, as well as providing a roadmap to advanced Winsock topics covered in other chapters. For the sake of simplicity, Chapter 1 covers the IPv4 protocol.
Jitter is extremely important in systems using PLL-based
clock drivers. The effects of jitter range from not having any
effect on system operation to rendering the system completely
non-functional. This application note provides the reader
with a clear understanding of jitter in high-speed systems. It
introduces the reader to various kinds of jitter in high-speed
systems, their causes and their effects, and methods of reducing
jitter. This application note will concentrate on jitter in PLL-based frequency synthesizers.
The Joint Video Team (JVT) of ISO/IEC MPEG and ITU-T VCEG are finalising a new standard for
the coding (compression) of natural video images. The new standard [1] will be known as H.264 and
also MPEG-4 Part 10, “Advanced Video Coding”. This document introduces the concepts of
Switching P and I slices, part of the Extended Profile of H.264.
This sample demonstrates compression capabilities available in the .NET Framework. It builds a Windows Forms application that employs the GZipStream and DeflateStream types to compress and decompress files. The sample also introduces several types that are new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.
As3 Crypto is a cryptography library written in Actionscript 3 that provides several common algorithms. This version also introduces a TLS engine (TLS is commonly known as SSL.)
The task of clustering Web sessions is to group Web sessions based on similarity and consists of maximizing the intra-
group similarity while minimizing the inter-group similarity.
The first and foremost question needed to be considered in clustering
W b sessions is how to measure the similarity between Web
sessions.However.there are many shortcomings in traditiona1
measurements. This paper introduces a new method for measuring
similarities between Web pages that takes into account not only the
URL but also the viewing time of the visited web page.Yhen we
give a new method to measure the similarity of Web sessions using
sequence alignment and the similarity of W eb page access in detail
Experiments have proved that our method is valid and e幣cient.
Jvm 規(guī)范說明。The Java Virtual Machine was designed to support the Java programming language. Some concepts and vocabulary from the Java language are thus necessary to understand the virtual machine. This chapter gives enough of an overview of Java to support the discussion of the Java Virtual Machine to follow. Its material has been condensed from The Java Language Specification, by James Gosling, Bill Joy, and Guy Steele. For a complete discussion of the Java language, or for details and examples of the material in this chapter, refer to that book. Readers familiar with that book may wish to skip this chapter. Readers familiar with Java, but not with The Java Language Specification, should at least skim this chapter for the terminology it introduces.
After the successful global introduction during the past decade of the second generation (2G) digital
mobile communications systems, it seems that the third generation (3G) Universal Mobile Communication
System (UMTS) has finally taken off, at least in some regions. The plethora of new services that
are expected to be offered by this system requires the development of new paradigms in the way scarce
radio resources should be managed. The Quality of Service (QoS) concept, which introduces in a natural
way the service differentiation and the possibility of adapting the resource consumption to the specific
service requirements, will open the door for the provision of advanced wireless services to the mass
market.
December 19, 2006 - Ant 1.7.0 Available
Apache Ant 1.7.0 is now available for download.
Ant 1.7 introduces a resource framework. Some of the core ant tasks such as <copy/> are now able to process not only file system resources but also zip entries, tar entries, paths, ... Resource collections group resources, and can be further combined with operators such as union and intersection. This can be extended by custom resources and custom tasks using resources.
Ant 1.7 starts outsourcing of optional tasks to Antlibs. The .NET antlib in preparation will replace the .NET optional tasks which ship in Ant. Support for the version control system Subversion will be only provided as an antlib to be released shortly.
Ant 1.7 fixes also a large number of bugs.
Ant 1.7 has some initial support for Java6 features.
