We propose and analyze several timestamping of an MPEG-2 Transport Stream transmitted strategies for performing over a packet-switched network using the PCR-unaware encapsulation scheme, and analyze their effect on the quality of the recovered clock at the MPEG-2 Systems decoder.
We propose a simple and effective method for detecting view- and
scale-independent ridge-valley lines defined via first- and secondorder
curvature derivatives on shapes approximated by dense triangle
meshes.
In
this paper we propose to reduce the textural components by
modelling the coefficients of a wedgelet based regression tree
instead of the original pixel intensities
in this paper,wo propose an extension of the zerotree-based space-frequency quantization algorithm by adding a wedgelet symbol to its tree-pruning optimization.
We propose a novel approach for head tracking, which combines particle filters with Isomap. The particle filter works on the low-dimensional embedding of training images. It indexes into the Isomap with its state variables to find the closest template for each particle. The most weighted particle approximates the location of head. We develop a synthetic video sequence to test our technique. The results we get show that the tracker tracks the head which changes position, poses and lighting conditions.
The Fuzzy Clustering and Data Analysis Toolbox is a collection of Matlab
functions. Its propose is to divide a given data set into subsets (called
clusters), hard and fuzzy partitioning mean, that these transitions between
the subsets are crisp or gradual.
We propose a technique that allows a person to design a new photograph
with substantially less effort. This paper presents a method that generates a composite image when a user types
in nouns, such as “boat” and “sand.” The artist can optionally design an intended image by specifying other
constraints. Our algorithm formulates the constraints as queries to search an automatically annotated image
database. The desired photograph, not a collage, is then synthesized using graph-cut optimization, optionally
allowing for further user interaction to edit or choose among alternative generated photos. An implementation of
our approach, shown in the associated video, demonstrates our contributions of (1) a method for creating specific
images with minimal human effort, and (2) a combined algorithm for automatically building an image library with
semantic annotations from any photo collection.
In this paper, we propose
a hierarchical clustering method using visual, textual and link
analysis. By using a vision-based page segmentation algorithm, a
web page is partitioned into blocks, and the textual and link information
of an image can be accurately extracted from the block containing
that image.
Abstract—In this paper, we propose transform-domain algorithms to
effectively classify the characteristics of blocks and estimate the strength
of the blocky effect. The transform-domain algorithms require much
lower computational complexity and much less memory than the spatial
ones. Along with the estimated blocky strength,
Abtract - We propose a new family of fi lter banks,
named NDFB, that can achieve the directional decomposition
of arbitrary N-dimensional (N ≥ 2) signals with a simple and
effi cient tree-structured construction.
