This books presents the research work of COST 273 Towards Mobile Broadband MULTIMEDIA Networks, hence, it reports on the work performed and on the results achieved within the project by its participants. The material presented here corresponds to the results obtained in four years of collaborative work by more than 350 researchers from 137 institutions (universities, operators, manufacturers, regulators, independent laboratories and others – a full list is provided in Appendix B) belonging to 29 countries (mainly European, but also from Asia and North America) in the area of mobileradio. Theobjectiveofpublishingtheseresultsasabookisessentiallytomakethemavailable to an audience wider than the project. In fact, it just follows a ‘tradition’ of previous COST Actions in this area of telecommunications, i.e. COST 207, 231 and 259.

數(shù)字電視技術(shù)和超大規(guī)模深亞微米的系統(tǒng)級芯片設(shè)計技術(shù)是當(dāng)前信息產(chǎn)業(yè)中最受關(guān)注的兩個方向。它們的交叉就是數(shù)字電視應(yīng)用中的一系列系統(tǒng)級芯片和超深亞微米專用集成電路。其中信道處理系統(tǒng)及其相關(guān)芯片更是集中了數(shù)字信號處理前向糾錯編解碼等數(shù)字電視傳輸?shù)暮诵募夹g(shù),成為設(shè)計和開發(fā)整個數(shù)字電視系統(tǒng)的關(guān)鍵之一。數(shù)字高清晰度電視(Digital HDTV)做為第三代電視標準,已成為當(dāng)今世界高技術(shù)競爭的焦點,本文正是從這個交叉點上出發(fā)對DVB-H(Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld)標準中所涉及的信道編碼和調(diào)制部分進行了研究,重點分析了信道內(nèi)編碼部分的硬件優(yōu)化實現(xiàn)。本項目完成了DVB-H傳輸系統(tǒng)信道編碼的FPGA硬件設(shè)計和實現(xiàn),系統(tǒng)所有FPGA硬件電路設(shè)計采用了Veillog HDL語言編寫。同時對清華大學(xué)數(shù)字電視地面?zhèn)鬏敇藴蔇MB-T(Terrestrial Digital MULTIMEDIA/TV Broadcasting)中的關(guān)鍵技術(shù)做了研究,與DVB標準中的相關(guān)技術(shù)做了對比。 本文首先對DVB.H以及COFDM的相關(guān)理論進行介紹和研究。然后針對DVB-H信道編碼調(diào)制器中的部分核心算法的FPGA設(shè)計和實現(xiàn)進行了詳細的研究工作,包括外編碼、內(nèi)編碼(卷積刪余)、內(nèi)交織(包括比特交織和符號交織)、星座映射、幀形成、OFDM調(diào)制的部分設(shè)計等。相應(yīng)地對DVB-H信道解碼解調(diào)器中的部分算法的FPGA設(shè)計的研究工作做了描述,包括符號解交織和比特解交織。同時對清華大學(xué)數(shù)字電視地面?zhèn)鬏敇藴蔇MB-T外接收機中頻域和時域解交織模塊的FPGA設(shè)計實現(xiàn)做了描述。 筆者在項目中完成的主要工作有: (1)與項目組成員合作制定系統(tǒng)框架,劃分模塊。 (2)對所負責(zé)的模塊,包括外編碼、內(nèi)編碼(卷積刪余)、內(nèi)交織(包括比特交織和符號交織)、星座映射、幀形成、OFDM調(diào)制的算法進行研究并加以優(yōu)化,建立軟件仿真模型,進行FPGA設(shè)計,仿真和實現(xiàn)。

當(dāng)前正處于第三代移動通信技術(shù)發(fā)展的關(guān)鍵時期,各種與3G相關(guān)的無線網(wǎng)絡(luò)終端的需求量與日俱增。為3G無線網(wǎng)絡(luò)終端選擇一個高性能的處理器,并且提供一套完整的系統(tǒng)解決方案,滿足3G時代人們對數(shù)據(jù)通信業(yè)務(wù)的需求,無疑是一個有意義且亟待解決的重要問題。 OMAP(Open MULTIMEDIA Applications Platform)是美國德州公司(TI)推出的專門為支持第三代(3G)無線終端應(yīng)用而設(shè)計的應(yīng)用處理器體系結(jié)構(gòu)。OMAP處理器平臺堪稱無線技術(shù)發(fā)展的里程碑,它提供了語音、數(shù)據(jù)和多媒體所需的帶寬和功能,可以極低的功耗為高端3G無線設(shè)備提供極佳的性能。 本文的研究內(nèi)容是開發(fā)基于OMAP5910處理器的具有多個擴展接口的嵌入式開發(fā)平臺,以及攝像頭顯示驅(qū)動程序,以便能為3G相關(guān)的無線網(wǎng)絡(luò)終端提供一個系統(tǒng)級的解決方案,本文首先介紹了OMAP技術(shù)的特點和優(yōu)點,并對OMAP5910處理器的硬件結(jié)構(gòu)進行了簡單說明,在此基礎(chǔ)上提出了基于OMAP5910嵌入式平臺的FPGA設(shè)計,包括用FPGA擴展的接口:觸摸屏接口,硬盤接口,以太網(wǎng)接口;控制的接口:USB口,串口;以及實現(xiàn)的功能:與OMAP5910處理器的通信功能,中斷控制功能,選擇啟動順序功能,復(fù)位延時功能。然后介紹了基于OMAP5910的攝像顯示系統(tǒng)的硬件設(shè)計,主要包括攝像頭接口和攝像頭模塊,EMIFS和EMIFF接口以及LCD接口。最后描述了嵌入式Linux操作系統(tǒng)下攝像頭驅(qū)動程序的完整實現(xiàn)過程。

The high defi nition MULTIMEDIA interface (HDMI) is fastbecoming the de facto standard for passing digitalaudio and video data in home entertainment systems.This standard includes an I2C type bus called a displaydata channel (DDC) that is used to pass extended digitalinterface data (EDID) from the sinkdevice (such as adigital TV) to the source device (such as a digital A/Vreceiver). EDID includes vital information on the digitaldata formats that the sink device can accept. The HDMIspecifi cation requires that devices have less than 50pFof input capacitance on their DDC bus lines, which canbe very diffi cult to meet. The LTC®4300A’s capacitancebuffering feature allows devices to pass the HDMI DDCinput capacitance compliance test with ease.
