This a set of notes I put together for my Computer Architecture
class in 1990. Students had a project in which they had to model a
Microprocessor architecture of their choice. They used these notes to
learn VHDL. The notes cover the VHDL-87 version of the language.
Not all of the language is covered (about 95%).
You may use this booklet for your own personal learning purposes.
You may not use it for profit (eg, selling copies of it, using it in a
course for which people pay, etc). If you want to make use of it
beyond these conditions, contact me and we can come to some
arrangement.

Digital Thermostat with High Accuracy
-6,00 to 46,00 °C
Digital Thermostat
We build a digital thermostat for home applications, which controls the room temperature. I
used the AT90S2313 Microprocessor of ATMEL. The digital thermostat opens the main heating valve of
the apartment and the hot water flows in the radiators.

ST7529液晶驅動 The ST7529 is a driver & controller LSI for 32 gray scale graphic dot-matrix liquid crystal display systems. It generates 255
Segment and 160 Common driver circuits. This chip is connected directly to a Microprocessor, accepts Serial Peripheral
Interface (SPI), 8-bit/16-bit parallel or IIC display data and stores in an on-chip display data RAM. It performs display data
RAM read/write operation with no external operating clock to minimize power consumption. In addition, because it contains
power supply circuits necessary to drive liquid crystal, it is possible to make a display system with the fewest components.
The PCI Local bus concept was developed to break
the PC data I/O bottleneck and clearly opens the door
to increasing system speed and expansion capabilities.
The PCI Local bus moves high speed peripherals
from the I/O bus and places them closer to the system’s
processor bus, providing faster data transfers
between the processor and peripherals. The PCI Local
bus also addresses the industry’s need for a bus standard
which is not directly dependent on the speed,
size and type of system processor. It represents the
first Microprocessor independent bus offering performance
more than adequate for the most demanding
applications such as full-motion video.

User Manual
The Lite Evaluation/Demonstration Kit is intended to illustrate use of the
AN3042. The AN3042 is compliant to the PCI 2.1 Local Bus specification.
Included in the kit is a PCI add-in card, Windows drivers, demonstration
applications, and documentation of the hardware and software provided. The
Microprocessor used on the PCI add-in card is the Motorola MPC860. The
applications themselves serve as documentation on how to interface with the
drivers, and also may be used to test the AN3042 on the user s prototype board.
This application note provides a software driver example for 39VF1601/39VF1602
16 Mbit Multi-Purpose Flash (MPF+) that can be used in any Microprocessor based
system.
