This paper investigates the design of joint frequency
offset and carrier phase estimation of a multi-frequency time division
multiple access (MF-TDMA) demodulator that is applied to
a digital video broadcasting—return channel system via satellite
(DVB-RCS). The Proposed joint estimation algorithm is based on
the interpolation technique for two correlation values in the frequency
and phase domains. This simple interpolation technique
can significantly improve frequency and phase resolution capabilities
of the Proposed technique without increasing the number of
the correlation values. In addition, the overall block diagram of a
digital communications receiver for DVB-RCS is presented, which
was designed using the Proposed estimation algorithms.

Aiming at the application of passive trackinn based on sensor array, a new passive trackinn usinn sensor array
based on particle filter was Proposed. Firstly, the“fake points" could be almost entirely and exactly deleted with the aids of the
sensor array at the expense of an additional sensor. Secondly, considered the fact that the measurements notten from each array
were independent in passive trackinn system, a novel sequential particle filter usinn sensor array with improved distribution was Proposed. At last, in a simulation study we compared this approach a壇orithm with traditional trackinn methods. The simulation re-sups show that the Proposed method can nreatly improve the state estimation precision of sensor array passive trackinn system.
In this article, we present an overview of methods for sequential simulation from posterior distributions.
These methods are of particular interest in Bayesian filtering for discrete time dynamic models
that are typically nonlinear and non-Gaussian. A general importance sampling framework is developed
that unifies many of the methods which have been Proposed over the last few decades in several
different scientific disciplines. Novel extensions to the existing methods are also Proposed. We showin
particular how to incorporate local linearisation methods similar to those which have previously been
employed in the deterministic filtering literature these lead to very effective importance distributions.
Furthermore we describe a method which uses Rao-Blackwellisation in order to take advantage of
the analytic structure present in some important classes of state-space models. In a final section we
develop algorithms for prediction, smoothing and evaluation of the likelihood in dynamic models.
VESA Display Device Data Block (DDDB) Standard
Display Device Data Block
This proposal defines the Display Device Data Block (DDDB), for use in a CEA-861-compatible EDID
extension, as originally Proposed in the VESA TV Compatibility White Paper (Compatibility of PC and
CE Displays, Aug.1, 2005).
An unsatisfactory property of particle filters is that they
may become inefficient when the observation noise is low.
In this paper we consider a simple-to-implement particle filter,
called ‘LIS-based particle filter’, whose aim is to overcome
the above mentioned weakness. LIS-based particle
filters sample the particles in a two-stage process that uses
information of the most recent observation, too. Experiments
with the standard bearings-only tracking problem indicate
that the Proposed new particle filter method is indeed
a viable alternative to other methods.
Squaring circuits are an important building block for impulse-radio UWB non-coherent receivers. This work proposes a squarer, based on the quadratic law of saturated transistors. Such a circuit has already been Proposed for lower frequency applications, therefore this work focuses on the extension to ultra wide bandwidth, with particular care to the consequences related to the deviation from the ideal quadratic law of 0.18μm CMOS transistors.

An optimal neuron evolution algorithm for the restoration
of linearly distorted images is presented in this paper. The Proposed
algorithm is motivated by the symmetric positive-definite quadratic programming
structure inherent in restoration. Theoretical analysis and experimental
results show that the algorithm not only significantly increases
the convergence rate of processing, hut also produces good restoration
results. In addition, the algorithm provides a genuine parallel processing
structure which ensures computationally feasible spatial domain image
restoration
Visual tracking is one of the key components for robots
to accomplish a given task in a dynamic environment,
especially when independently moving objects are included.
This paper proposes an extension of Adaptive
Visual Servoing (hereafter, AVS) for unknown moving
object tracking. The method utilizes binocular stereo
vision, but does not need the knowledge of camera parameters.
Only one assumption is that the system
need stationary references in the both images by which
the system can predict the motion of unknown moving
objects. The basic ideas how we extended the AVS
method such that it can track unknown moving objects
are given and formalized into a new AVS system. The
experimental results with Proposed control architecture
are shown and a discussion is given.
