Programming C#, the top selling book on Microsoft s high-performance C# programming language, is now in its fourth edition. Aimed at experienced programmers and web developers, this comprehensive guide focuses on the features and programming patterns that are new to C#, and fundamental to the programming of web services and web applications on Microsoft s .NET platform.
This assessment requires the creation of three of the core classes of the auction project. Class Date, class Advertisement, and class Client are three of the fundamental classes in the system.
MulticastClient.java broadcasts message on port 1115.
This introduces you how to deliver or transmit data in network and describes the fundamental of various techniques like: unicast, broadcast and multicast.
Exploring C++ uses a series of self–directed lessons to divide C++ into bite–sized chunks that you can digest as rapidly as you can swallow them. The book assumes only a basic understanding of fundamental programming concepts (variables, functions, expressions, statements) and requires no prior knowledge of C or any other particular language. It reduces the usually considerable complexity of C++.
The included lessons allow you to learn by doing, as a participant of an interactive education session. You’ll master each step in a one sitting before you proceed to the next. Author Ray Lischner has designed questions to promote learning new material. And by responding to questions throughout the text, youll be engaged every step of the way.
Written for engineering and computer science students and practicing engineers, this book provides the fundamental applications and mathematical techniques of signal processing. Topics covered include programming in MATLAB, filters, networking, and parallel processing.
MATLAB is introduced and used to solve numerous examples in the book.
Companion software available
In addition, a set of MATLAB M-files is available on a CD bound in the book.
The Kalman filter is an efficient recursive filter that estimates the state of a linear dynamic system from a series of noisy measurements. It is used in a wide range of engineering applications from radar to computer vision, and is an important topic in control theory and control systems engineering. Together with the linear-quadratic regulator (LQR), the Kalman filter solves the linear-quadratic-Gaussian control problem (LQG). The Kalman filter, the linear-quadratic regulator and the linear-quadratic-Gaussian controller are solutions to what probably are the most fundamental problems in control theory.
The many variants of the Unix operating system require use of a mode of thought that s significantly different from the one that s required by simpler operating systems. Think Unix introduces readers to important fundamental and intermediate Unix commands and, in the process, inculcates them in the Unix way of thinking. It s a worthy goal in a world with more Linux users than ever, and author Jon Lasser accomplishes it. He s both a capable writer and a knowledgeable user of Unix shell commands. Lasser uses bash under Red Hat Linux in most examples--which usually apply equally well to other Unix variants--and makes asides about other shells and environments, as needed.
Within this book the fundamental concepts associated with the topic of power electronic control are covered alongside the latest equipment and devices, new application areas and associated computer-assisted methods.
*A practical guide to the control of reactive power systems
*Ideal for postgraduate and professional courses
*Covers the latest equipment and computer-aided analysis
This report presents a tutorial of fundamental array processing and beamforming theory relevant to microphone array speech processing. A microphone array consists of multiple microphones placed at different spatial locations. Built upon a knowledge of sound propagation principles, the multiple inputs can be manipulated to enhance or attenuate signals emanating from particular directions. In this way, microphone arrays provide a means of enhancing a desired signal in the presence of corrupting noise sources. Moreover, this enhancement is based purely on knowledge of the source location, and so microphone array techniques are applicable to a wide variety of noise types. Microphone arrays have great potential in practical applications of speech processing, due to their ability to provide both noise robustness and hands-free signal acquisition.
This book describes the applications of the fundamental interactions of
electromagnetic waves and materials as described in the preceding volume, “Basic
Electromagnetism and Materials”. It is addressed to students studying masters or
doctorate courses in electronics, electromagnetism, applied physics, materials
physics, or chemical physics. In particular, this volume analyzes the behavior of
materials in the presence of an electromagnetic field and related applications in the
fields of electronics, optics, and materials physics.
