Prakash Rashinkar has over 15 years experience in system design and verificationof embedded systems for communication satellites, launch vehicles and spacecraftground systems, high-performance Computing, switching, multimedia, and wirelessapplications. Prakash graduated with an MSEE from Regional Engineering College,Warangal, in India. He lead the team that was responsible for delivering themethodologies for SOC verification at Cadence Design Systems. Prakash is anactive member of the VSIA Functional Verification DWG. This book is about the management of business processes. This is certainly
not a new topic. Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, it
has been written about from every possible point of view—economic,
sociological, psychological, accountancy, mechanical engineering and
business administration. In this book, we examine the management of
business processes from the perspective of Computing, or—to put it more
broadly—of information technology. The reason is that information
technology has made huge leaps forward in recent years, resulting in
the creation of completely new ways of organizing business processes.
The development of generic software packages for managing business
processes—so-called workflow management systems (WFMS)—is particularly
important in this respect.
With a worldwide community of users and more than a million dedicated programmers, Perl has proven to be the most effective language for the latest trends in Computing and business.
Every programmer must keep up with the latest tools and techniques. This updated version of Advanced Perl Programming from O Reilly gives you the essential knowledge of the modern Perl programmer. Whatever your current level of Perl expertise, this book will help you push your skills to the next level and become a more accomplished programmer.
O Reilly s most high-level Perl tutorial to date, Advanced Perl Programming, Second Edition teaches you all the complex techniques for production-ready Perl programs. This completely updated guide clearly explains concepts such as introspection, overriding built-ins, extending Perl s object-oriented model, and testing your code for greater stability.
Other topics include:
Complex data structures
I believe that technology has the capacity to fundamentally improve people’s lives, and
improve the world in which we live.We are now two years into what my company have
called the ‘Digital Decade’.We think that by 2010 a combination of hardware and software
innovation with broader social trends will change the way Computing fits into our society.
Mobile technology is a central part of this vision.
In 1960, R.E. Kalman published his famous paper describing a recursive solution
to the discrete-data linear filtering problem. Since that time, due in large part to advances
in digital Computing, the Kalman filter has been the subject of extensive research
and application, particularly in the area of autonomous or assisted
navigation.

has been the subject of extensive research and application,
particularly in the area of autonomous or assisted navigation. A very “friendly” introduction to the
general idea of the Kalman filter can be found in Chapter 1 of [Maybeck79], while a more complete
introductory discussion can be found in [Sorenson70], which also contains some interesting
historical narrative.
C++ Network Programming, Volume 2, focuses on ACE frameworks, providing thorough coverage of the concepts, patterns, and usage rules that form their structure. This book is a practical guide to designing object-oriented frameworks and shows developers how to apply frameworks to concurrent networked applications. C++ Networking, Volume 1, introduced ACE and the wrapper facades, which are basic network Computing ingredients. Volume 2 explains how frameworks build on wrapper facades to provide higher-level communication services.

It is an implementation of the LC2. The LC-2 computer is described in Introduction to Computing Systems from Bits & Gates to C & Beyond by Yale Patt and Sanjay Patel, McGraw Hill, 2001. The LC2 model can be run as a simulation or downloaded to the UP3 in a larger model, TOP_LC2 that adds video output. Push buttons reset and single step the processor and a video output display of registers is generated. This state machine VHDL-based model of the LC-2 includes all source files. Currently compiled for a Cyclone EP1C6Q240 FPGA.
